Course Information

What will I learn?
Advanced Seamanship and navigation by day and night in coastal and offshore waters.

Duration
55 hours (minimum) with 3 examination  papers. Additional reading and study materials are suggested, and further practice exercises are provided.

Qualification
Successful students are awarded a "Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory" certificate, which takes them to the level of theory required to complete the Coastal Skipper practical course and the Yachtmaster® Offshore exam.

Previous experience required
Ideally students should be experienced to Day Skipper Level. However, someone with equivalent practical boating experience will find the subjects within their capability.
